Light Grey Art Lab: Rolemodels

This is my illustration for Light Grey Art Lab’s “Rolemodels” show. We had to draw ourselves as roleplay characters. I chose to be a ranger, but didn’t want to draw the normal archer wandering through green woods. As I love skiing especially skate skiing I decided to draw some old ski made of wood, like my grandma owned a long time ago.

All illustrations in this show are amazing again (like every show LGAL organizes)!

Prints and all illustrations as a card game are available here.

Our rangers are in totally opposite environments haah! I especially love those eels. They remind me of Flotsam and Jetsam from The Little Mermaid..but as spookier snow spirit creatures!!

I've been following your work for the last few years. This is one of your nicest pieces yet - your technique is really coming together.

This would be a wonderful illustration in an adventure story for young people. Have you considered doing a project like that?
